Wedding Filmmaking Behind The Scenes SOLO! | Sony a7R V Simple Wedding Video

Is it possible to shoot an entire wedding film as a solo videographer? Can you capture key moments to cover the day as though you had two shooters or more? If you've been curious to learn more about filming weddings, especially as a solo shooter, then this video is for you! In this tutorial, I'll walk through a full wedding day behind the scenes as a videographer. This includes everything: from bride and groom prep, establishing shots, the first look, ceremony, reception, dancing and much more. I'll show this process utilizing BTS footage captured by my DJI Action 2, along with final shots used in the film and commentary to explain the different parts of the day. I'll cover all of the gear used throughout the wedding, including several shots with my Sony a7R V and 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II lens. You'll also get deeper insights into my strategies for composing shots, working with the photographer, and how to handle audio and lighting during crucial parts of the day. And because this is a real-world wedding, this video will also cover the various challenges that can occur such as light flicker, bad/harsh/low light, a changing and evolving schedule, and more. Wedding BTS videos take a fair amount of time to put together, so if this video was of any help to you, feel free to leave a like and subscribe! Also, if you like behind the scenes videos and content around wedding filmmaking and photography and would like to see more, check out my existing videos in this description, and leave a comment on what you'd like to see. Also, a big thank you to my friend Terry Myers and TME Wedding Services with whom I work with, and to the fantastic couple Jamie and Steven and the entire wedding party on their special day! =================================== My Wedding Filmmaking Solo Shooting Kit: =================================== Cameras, Lenses and Cages: Sony a7R V: https://amzn.to/3FNpWdn Sony a7S III: https://amzn.to/3Gd87kK Sony a7 IV: https://amzn.to/3g3Ipoq DJI Mini 3 Pro w/ RC: https://amzn.to/3ra11fb DJI Action 2 Power Combo: https://amzn.to/44b1bRY Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 GM II: https://amzn.to/3GuWrNa Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II: https://amzn.to/3OWeb6k Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II: https://amzn.to/3IPSge6 Sony 50mm f/1.2 GM: https://amzn.to/3m2GbIT SmallRig Half Cage, 3639: https://amzn.to/3JFLXfG SmallRig Top Handle, 2165: https://amzn.to/34fZ99e ProGrade SDXC UHS-II V90 Card: https://amzn.to/35zH3Qg Audio: Rode VideoMic NTG: https://amzn.to/3AJwTrW Tascam DR-10L Pro: https://amzn.to/3AIRA7l Zoom H6: https://amzn.to/32HCgep Sony TX660: https://amzn.to/3PwQeTH Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones: https://amzn.to/3MgmKY0 Rode SC2 3.5mm Coiled TRS Cable: https://amzn.to/3Gy5Zrx Hosa 10ft XLR Cable: https://amzn.to/3XCDb80 Elebase 1/4in 10ft Instrument Cable: https://amzn.to/43c95tf Tisino 10ft Dual RCA to XLR Cable: https://amzn.to/44misYi Panasonic Eneloop AA Batteries: https://amzn.to/3gp3J7O Panasonic Eneloop AAA Batteries: https://amzn.to/3AUIV1H Lighting: Aputure LS 60x: https://amzn.to/3Dvo4oc Manfrotto 1004BAC Light Stand: https://amzn.to/3JK3Qd8 Matthews Boa Bag (10 lbs): https://amzn.to/37YUmeb Neewer 2-Pack Sony NP-F970 Batteries: https://amzn.to/3uxhXeX Tripod/Monopod and Stabilizers: iFootage Cobra 3 C180F-P: https://amzn.to/3T0aTm2 Manfrotto 290 Xtra 128RC: https://amzn.to/3o8bPpV Manfrotto MHXPRO-2W Fluid Head: https://amzn.to/3o9uu4p DJI RS 3 Gimbal Combo: https://amzn.to/3NEUwZd Cases, Bags and Miscellaneous Gear: Lowepro Flipside BP 400 AW III: https://amzn.to/44cj4zU Neewer 35in Equipment Bag: https://amzn.to/3ra1lKV Manfrotto MB LBAG110 Bag: https://amzn.to/436tCiV GearFend Dust Cleaner Blower: https://amzn.to/3jBGQ5X 0:00 - Intro: Setup, Background 2:52 - Sony a7R V Camera Settings for Weddings 3:23 - Bride Prep Part 1 4:54 - Groom Intros, Schedule Planning 6:42 - Bride Prep Part 2 10:05 - Scoping Out the Venue, Planning Shots 14:07 - Wedding Venue Tour 17:24 - Establishing Shots, Details 21:41 - Dress, Flat Lays, Rings 24:02 - Bride Prep at the Venue 26:55 - Groom Prep 28:55 - First Look, Couple Portraits 32:49 - Wedding Party, Family Portraits 35:18 - Ceremony Prep: Cameras, Audio 41:11 - Ceremony 49:02 - Reception Prep: Cameras, Audio, Lighting 54:16 - Reception Details and Setup, Cocktail Hour 57:32 - Reception Intros 1:00:46 - First Dances 1:05:06 - Speeches and Toasts 1:09:10 - Cake Cutting, Night B-Roll 1:10:40 - Dancing Get SHARP Manual Focus With These 3 Tricks: https://youtu.be/IqoeCBjYJgU The ONLY Monopod You Need! iFootage Cobra 3 Review: https://youtu.be/1-pnBIiHl10 Wedding Filmmaking Behind the Scenes: How to Solo Shoot a Wedding: https://youtu.be/QHD938Y5G-U The PERFECT Light for Filmmakers! BEST Budget 85mm Lens?! Yongnuo 85mm f/1.8S DF DSM for Sony E-Mount

BEST Budget 85mm Lens?! Yongnuo 85mm f/1.8S DF DSM for Sony E-Mount

It is true that a number of telephoto lens options exist within the Sony E-Mount ecosystem, from native G Master and G options, to third-party as well. However, only so many of those options are affordable prime lenses that offer autofocus, and a shallow depth of field to provide creamy bokeh and beautiful blurred backgrounds. While on paper, a lens like the Yongnuo 85mm f1.8 seems to meet those needs, does it actually hold up in real-world shooting situations? In this review, I'll go over the Yongnuo 85mm f/1.8S DF DSM lens, discussing its many specifications and features. I'll also evaluate its performance in terms of overall lens sharpness, and in terms of barrel distortion and pincushioning. I'll cover the Yongnuo in many real-world shooting situations, discussing areas like autofocus performance, focus breathing, bokeh and other characteristics with several example clips shot using my Sony a7R V. Last, I'll discuss price and some other similar options within the Sony system, and provide my final thoughts on the lens. Overall, if you're looking for an affordable telephoto prime lens within the Sony E-Mount system, the Yongnuo 85mm f1.8 should certainly be on, and perhaps towards the top of your list. HIDDEN FEATURES?! Sony a7S III 3.0 Firmware Update Overview

It's here! Sony a7S III owners have long-awaited crucial updates to their cameras, including features such as Breathing Compensation found on similar Sony models like the a7 IV, a7R V, and more. However, many have also wanted to see features additionally granted to cinema cameras like the FX3 and FX30, like DCI 4K and true 24p. But beyond this, are there extra hidden features, quirks or any bugs present in this firmware update that people - Sony or otherwise - aren't talking about? And did Sony ultimately deliver with this first major firmware update in years? In this video, I'll go into a detailed overview of the latest version 3.00 firmware update for the a7S III. I'll explain the basics around the installation process, and what was required of me in installing the update from my Apple MacBook Pro. Below, I'll also include a link to my updated a7S III video and photo settings file from my website, where you can download my settings and save hours re-setting up all of your custom settings, which will be required for those installing the update. Following this, I'll then explore all of the crucial features most people would consider downloading the update for. However, I'll also go much further in-depth, describing additional hidden features, quirks and any other observations I've noticed in the process of using it. Last, I'll describe my take on what features are still missing that would be good to see in future updates, and offer my final thoughts on the firmware upgrade overall. All in all, if you own an a7S III, and you haven't kept up with firmware updates in the past, now is definitely the time to upgrade. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.
